Linen For Spring

Now, I think that we all know at this point that I am not an exclusive seasonal dresser. That being said, I am still very capable of understanding which fabrics are fitting for each season. Linen from Spring (and Summer) is a wardrobe essential for me if I’m honest. During this time, I totally obsess over finding high quality, reasonably priced essentials every time I feel that my wardrobe needs it.

A year ago I had decided that I was finally confident enough to own a linen suit. To wear one out and about? Well.. that is entirely another story altogether. Now that we have been in lockdown for what feels like a 100 years now, I feel like the first thing I am going to grab from my wardrobe to wear to whatever bar, club, pub or restaurant that would have me in this suit!

Finding that confidence to wear things that may have been on your dream items list for the longest time ever doesn’t always come easy. What helped me was basically taking the suit all the way to Stockholm with the intention of flaunting my new found confidence, through those beautiful cobbled streets. Let’s just say this, the suit came back to England with its tags still on. Months after coming  back home, I had again decided to wear it at home (like I had any other options at that time) and try it on with different combinations. A Navy polo neck, white shirt combo, or with knee high boots over the trouser or with a pair of wallabies.

Now I can’t promise you this beauty will make it out the house anytime soon, but I can promise you that with the intention alone, I feel that I have found a confidence that fashion wise didn’t really exist before the linen suit.
