Lifestyle goals for 2024

Towards the end of last year, I introduced my first lifestyle post about the Max Mara Teddy Residence experience. This year, I’m going to include regular content relating to lifestyle both here on my website and across my TikTok and Instagram. As you can imagine, and as I have mentioned briefly in both my Mother First posts, my lifestyle has changed quite a lot since becoming a mama. This does not mean that my personal lifestyle has permanently and drastically paused, all it really means for me is that the pace has changed which I am learning to embrace.

I’m lucky enough that I still get to enjoy long walks, eat at lovely restaurants and go to cute coffee shops with my little love and I am forever grateful that she seems to enjoy doing these things too… for now! The areas that I really want to focus on this year are the areas where I have had to make a lot of compromise and just areas that I personally think will better my overall lifestyle and wellbeing.

More intentional travel

A coupe of weeks ago I wrote in this months Mother First post that last year I had to cancel my baby moon and a couple of other trips last pretty last min. Being able to travel freely is a privilege that I recognise and something that I have always enjoyed doing.

This year, I want to be able to do more intentional travel. To me, this means travelling to places for a solid reason rather than just travelling for the sake of travelling. There are lots of places I’d like to actually visit to see something or do something very specific, and I’d like to stay true to that this year.

Commit to me time

This area has been lacking as of late, massively! This is going to be the year that I commit to regular me time which is important to do as it helps me to maintain more balanced mental health. Me time looks like solo museum dates, staycations and spa days. These are things that I haven’t had the time to do recently, but also things that I have not prioritised since having Lettuce.

Make more meaningful connections

The older I get, the more I realise the importance of making and maintaining meaningful connections with likeminded people. I want to spend the rest of my 30s surrounded by people who share the same values as me in all aspects of life.

Fortunately, I have some amazing and inspiring friends but what I am talking about here, is new connections with new people. I’m a huge believer in there being no such thing as making too many of the right connections and friendships, especially at different stages of your life. I am not sure exactly how I am going to make this happen as yet, but what I do know is that I will need to put on a brave face and put myself out there more than I have done in the past.
